Christmas Time

When I think of Christmas shopping, the main thing I think of is the mall. However, there are several shops in particular that I go to every year. Some of these are: Walmart, Bestbuy, Zumiez, and the random clothes stores.

The holidays I see as gift giving holidays would be Christmas of course, and Birthdays. There are plenty of other times when it is a good idea for gift giving, but in my opinion, those are the most prudent. Also Anniversaries, but I dont have any of those to worry about at the moment.

As far as Holidays not being related to Religion, I think that, in itself, is fine. It's a personal choice. I don't think its quite politically correct, or at least socially, to make ads trying to convince people one way or the other. It will always end up annoying someone. And though it may be legal to put up signs saying you dont need god to have a good time, I dont believe its a good idea.

The picture conveys its message through the use of hand gestures and facial expressions (grimace). Plus the added show of injury. The point of this message in context with the magazine is to show that I was being really stupid.

The second picture uses camera angles and lighting to make it look like I have alot of hair. (which at the time, I did).

Celebrity Pic Comparison

In these pictures, Sylvester Stallone is shown with very different appearances. In the first, the picture has been altered to make him look demonic, using lighting, clothing and added effects like make-up and fangs and what not. Also his facial expression and his hair add to the effect.
In the second picture he is shown wearing very casual clothes, and looks quite happy and friendly. His hair is quite a bit long in this picture, but while not entirely styled, it is not unkempt. In addition he does not have the facial hair in this picture.

This cartoon is inferring that even though Obama says he is doing things differently and better, its all really the same. I would agree with this, because things dont seem much better now that Obama is around. I found this comic on msnbc.com

This cartoon is trashing on how Disney is buying everything they can put a price on. Really, I don't think its cool the way Disney controls so much media, so I agree with this comic. I found this comic at msnbc.com.

This comic strip is in a roundabout way saying that security measures in general have gotten out of hand. I do agree with this, but in some ways I see how they are also necessary, especially when it comes to the internet. I found this comic on Yahoo Cartoons
